Incognito Mode Not So Incognito!(⊙︿⊙)
The war on privacy.

In a plot twist worthy of a digital privacy soap opera, Google has agreed to kiss goodbye to billions of data records—because, apparently, sneaking a peek at what users do in "Incognito" mode wasn't as incognito as we all thought. This grand gesture comes after a 2020 lawsuit that basically accused Google of being the nosy neighbor of the internet, peering over the digital fence even when users thought they were browsing in their private digital backyards.
So, what's Google doing to make amends? Apart from the digital equivalent of shredding billions of secret love letters to the void, they're also promising to be more upfront. Yes, every time someone slides into "Incognito" mode, Google will now be that overly honest friend who tells you exactly how many cookies they're snacking on—even if you didn't ask.
But wait, there's more. For the next five years, Google will let private browsers put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on their digital doors, blocking those pesky third-party cookies. And in a move that's sure to make privacy fans swipe right, Google's vowed to stop shadowing users who opt for a bit of alone time on the web.
It's a comedy of errors that's ended in what might just be a happily-ever-after for digital privacy,if we can be optimistic. As for Google, let's hope they stick to their word, or they might find themselves starring in the sequel nobody asked for: "Incognito Mode: The Privacy Strikes Back."
