Discovering the Hidden Gems of Quy Nhon, Vietnam.

Imagine stumbling upon a hidden gem in Vietnam that’s steeped in legend and offers breathtaking views—this was my experience in Quy Nhon. One unplanned day led me to Ghenh Ráng, a place where history and folklore intertwine in the most unexpected ways. It seems that the best experiences often come from spontaneous adventures, and this one was no exception.

Ghenh Ráng is a place steeped in history and folklore. The name is said to have been given by fishermen due to the numerous rapids in the area. Sailors had to reduce the wind in their sails to navigate safely, a maneuver known as "rang" in seafaring terms.
According to local legend, fairies are known to appear here. One story tells of a couple who, unable to be together due to power and authority, chose to become immortals and reunite at Ghenh Ráng. Imagine the beauty of a place so enchanting that it became the eternal meeting spot for star-crossed lovers!
This area was once a royal holiday destination, known for its stunning beaches, including one with countless smooth pebbles shaped like eggs by the waves. Walking along these beaches, it's easy to see why royalty would choose such a serene and picturesque spot.

Bai Xep Beach is another gem on the same coastline. To reach this secluded beach, we had to navigate through a small village, which at first seemed a bit sketchy as some of my colleagues pointed out. Navigating through the village felt like being in an Indiana Jones movie—minus the boulders, but with plenty of puzzled looks from the locals as we attempted to find the 'hidden treasure' of a beach. However, the journey was worth it. The remote fishing village hides an incredible secret: an amazing beach with crystal clear waters waiting on the other side.

As we strolled along , the locals' curious gazes lingered upon us, their eyes widening with a mixture of fascination and bewilderment. In this secluded coastal haven, visitors from afar were a rarity, and our presence—particularly the rich, sun-kissed hue of my skin—seemed to captivate them
The mid-afternoon sun hung high and hot in the cloudless sky. While we reveled in its warmth, the residents had retreated to the cool shadows of their homes, patiently awaiting the sun's descent. Their absence left us with an expanse of untouched beach, a private paradise stretching as far as the eye could see.
If you find yourself in Vietnam, make sure to visit these spots. You won't be disappointed!
